A magical evening tonight in Barga!
It is the night of San Lorenzo and shooting stars… and in Barga there will be the Homage to Giovanni Pascoli, the poet who lived here from 1895 to 1912 (he was a regular customer of our Cafè!).
This year the evening will take place on Fosso square. The actor Giorgio Pasotti will read Pascoli poems and Ensemble Le Muse will play musical pieces by Gounod, Donizetti, Morricone, Piovani. 2022 edition (the thirty-first) is dedicated to Gino Strada memory and to humanitarian activity of Emergency. To celebrate this evening, artist Sandra Rigali has made the painting we see in the cover.
