#cApReTz project starts with Vincenzo Lipari exhibition: you can find his works on the walls of our main room.
Vincenzo Lipari was born in Camporeale on 1st June 1966. After the great earthquake in Belice, his family moved on Tuscany coast.
His artistic genius was born under the Sicilian sun and grew up with Libeccio winds and Tyrrhenian scrub. His works are terracotta sculptures, canvas and acrylics. He has participated to exhibitions with other artists, he has won competitions and you can find some of his works in private collections. Many of his art works are hidden in his laboratory in Rosignano Marittimo.
It was 1968. There was an earthquake in Santa Margherita Belice. In a summer evening, a white cloth was stretched in the camp in Piana degli Albanesi. It was white and big. It broke the inexpressive black of the night.
They projected a movie. Colors and forms were a relief for the spirit.
Vincenzo was a child. He discovered the emotion of art in the images of that huge painting. It was a confused catharsis of fluid geometries and exaltation of reality.
Lipari work is characterized by elegant baroque explosions and delicate classic curves. It is a game of excesses, lyrics of color and frivolous eruptions of beauty.
